Bayer has announced the UK launch of aflibercept (Eylea®) solution for injection, for the treatment of wet age-related macular degeneration. According to the SPC, treatment is initiated with one 2mg injection per month for three months, followed by one injection every 2 months. After the first 12 months, the treatment interval may be extended based on visual and anatomic outcomes.
