Is photoscreening the best way to catch ‘lazy eye’?

Amblyopia, known as "lazy eye," is a major cause of vision problems in children and a common cause of blindness in people aged 20 to 70 in developed countries. Pediatric ophthalmologists are looking for the best, most cost-effective ways to detect amblyopia as early as possible. Iowa's KidSight program, the largest, longest study of the use of photoscreening to detect amblyopia in children aged 6 months to 6 years.
