Dr. Christopher Girkin named UAB chairman

Christopher A. Girkin, MD, MSPH, has been named chairman of the Department of Ophthalmology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). Dr. Girkin has been interim department chairman since October and has been on the faculty at UAB since 1999.
