Combination treatment effective for vitreoretinal disease, corneal astigmatism

Toric IOL implantation combined with 25-gauge microincision vitrectomy treated eyes with both vitreoretinal disease and corneal astigmatism, according to a study. The noncomparative, interventional case series included 12 patients with vitreoretinal disease, cataracts and corneal astigmatism who underwent phacoemulsification, toric IOL implantation with posterior capsulotomy and 25-gauge microincision vitrectomy.
