We read with interest the article by Tham et al on phacoemulsification versus trabeculectomy in medically uncontrolled chronic angle-closure glaucoma without cataract. We appreciate their discussion on the specific benefits and drawbacks of both phacoemulsification and trabeculectomy. Nonetheless, we would like to make a comment.
