Small-aperture corneal inlay improves near visual acuity in presbyopic, post-LASIK eyes

A small-aperture corneal inlay improved near vision in presbyopic patients after previous LASIK, according to a study.The prospective study included 223 eyes of 223 patients. Patients underwent implantation of a Kamra inlay (Acufocus) into a femtosecond laser-created corneal pocket at a depth of 200 µm or 250 µm, at a minimum of 80 µm under the LASIK flap interface in the nondominant eye.
