Novel contact lenses ‘enable more effective glaucoma drug delivery’

According to the Glaucoma Research Foundation, approximately 2.2 million Americans have glaucoma - a leading cause of blindness in the US. Now, researchers from the University of California, Los Angeles have created nanodiamond-embedded contact lenses that they say could improve the treatment of the condition.This is according to a study published in the journal ACS Nano.
