NIH launches 3-D printing file-sharing service

The NIH has launched a new file-sharing service for researchers and students to exchange information about 3-D printing. Researchers, students and others will be able to access and share 3-D print files, including those they have developed to print models related to health and science. The technology has been used to create custom prosthetic devices, develop models of pathogens and even print living tumors. Other information and tutorials are available on the website, and a chat forum is said to be coming soon.
