New Trends in Ophthalmology symposium highlights lens technology developments
LONDON — During his introduction of the New Trends in Ophthalmology symposium, presented at the Russian Embassy by Nanovision, Russian Ambassador to the U.K., Alexander Yakovenko, commended the European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons Congress for this year’s program.Three of Nanovision’s newest projects were presented during the symposium. Ioannis G. Pallikaris, MD, PhD, spoke about a new-concept accommodative system for presbyopia, consisting of an expanding ring that restores the anatomy of the peripheral capsule and an accommodative IOL that clips to the capsule.
