DALK improves vision in eyes with <i>Acanthamoeba</i> keratitis scarring

CHICAGO – Deep anterior lamellar keratoplasty showed promise in restoring vision in eyes with significant corneal scarring from Acanthamoeba keratitis, a speaker said here.DALK should be considered early as a treatment option in cases with active, resistant infection that are unresponsive to medical treatment, Caterina Sarnicola, MD, said at the American Academy of Ophthalmology meeting.
