PROSE treatment yields significant improvement in visual acuity, function

Prosthetic replacement of the ocular surface ecosystem treatment demonstrated significant improvements in visual acuity and function in patients with a history of Stevens-Johnson syndrome / toxic epidermal necrolysis, according to study findings.The retrospective study included 167 eyes of 86 patients with a history of chronic-phase Stevens-Johnson syndrome / toxic epidermal necrolysis (SJS/TEN) who underwent prosthetic replacement of the ocular surface ecosystem (PROSE) treatment within a 5-year period.
