Miyake-Apple view, accelerated aging used to assess performance and quality of novel three-piece IOL

MILAN — A novel three-piece IOL for a small incision is easy to implant, stable in the eye and glistening-free, according to one surgeon. The Kowa PU6A IOL is preloaded in an injector and currently requires a 2.8-mm incision. A new injector for a smaller incision size is in development, Gerd Auffarth, MD, PhD, said at the annual joint meeting of Ocular Surgery News and the Italian Society of Ophthalmology.
