Hydrophobic acrylic IOL associated with increase in PCO up to 3 years
A single-piece hydrophobic acrylic IOL was associated with a significant increase in posterior capsule opacification up to 3 years and stabilization between 3 years and 5 years, according to a study.The prospective study included 390 eyes of 390 patients who underwent phacoemulsification and implantation of an AcrySof SN60AT IOL (Alcon).
