Anachronistic health care policies, bureaucracy limit access to therapy for macular disease in Italy

Due to insufficient funding, dysfunctional organization and bureaucratic redundancy, patients with age-related macular degeneration and other macular diseases are often undermonitored and undertreated in Italy.
