A novel pharmacologic agent reduces IOP by augmenting physiological aqueous outflow through the trabecular meshwork, according to one expert.Vesneo (latanoprostene bunod ophthalmic solution 0.024%) is a nitric oxide-donating prostaglandin F2 alpha analog indicated for open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension and is administered once daily. The agent was licensed to Bausch + Lomb by Nicox in March 2010.
