Abbott second quarter worldwide sales increase to $5.3 billion
Abbott reported net sales of $5.3 billion in the second quarter, a 3.2% increase on a reported basis and a 6.4% increase on an operational basis from a year ago, according to a press release.Net earnings totaled $615 million compared with $784 million in the second quarter of 2015, while operating earnings totaled $816 million compared with $729 million a year ago.
