High drug prices result of government protection in US

The high cost of prescription drugs in the United States is the result of drug manufacturers being granted government-protected monopolies, according to data published in JAMA Internal Medicine.“The increasing cost of prescription drugs in the United States has become a source of growing concern for patients, prescribers, payers and policy makers,” Aaron S.
