A low-energy femtosecond laser compared well with other laser platforms in terms of visual outcomes and safety in cataract surgery, a German study found.The authors detailed results obtained with the Femto LDV Z8 femtosecond laser (Ziemer Ophthalmic Systems), which operates with a pulse rate in the megahertz range rather than the kilohertz range common with other femtosecond lasers.
