ASCRS Foundation to provide free cataract surgeries to eligible patients

The American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery Foundation announced its Operation Sight charitable initiative will provide free cataract surgery to eligible patients during National Sight Week, Oct. 24 to 28. The ASCRS Foundation will match volunteer surgeons with eligible patients in their area who are in need of cataract surgery. The foundation will provide a stipend for each surgery completed, according to a foundation press release.
