FDA clears MP-3 microperimeter from Nidek
The FDA issued 510(k) clearance for Nidek’s MP-3 microperimeter to measure local retinal sensitivity for functional assessment of the retina, the company announced in a press release. Stimulus intensity ranges from 0 dB to 34 dB, which is wider than that of the company’s MP-1 microperimeter. Results are displayed over a color fundus image that correlates anatomy with retinal function, according to the release.
