Crystalens may affect patients’ perception of colors

The Crystalens accommodating implant from Bausch + Lomb is designed to provide patients with improved refractive and visual outcomes at distance and intermediate. Most patients experience a change in color perception after cataract surgery because the implant allows more light to penetrate the eye than the opacified natural lens. However, a small number of patients perceive colors even more differently than the typical post-cataract surgery patient, particularly under certain lighting conditions.
