The American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery has named Thomas W. Samuelson, MD, as its new president, the organization announced in a press release.
Samuelson, who is the current vice president of ASCRS and the OSN Glaucoma Section Editor, specializes in the treatment of glaucoma and anterior segment disorders. He will replace Bonnie An Henderson, MD, as the ASCRS president and will deliver the president’s address during the opening general session of the ASCRS annual meeting on Saturday, April 14.
