Radcliffe: What not to miss on a glaucoma exam

KOLOA, Hawaii — The initial patient visit is an important step in glaucoma management, Nathan M. Radcliffe, MD, told colleagues at Hawaiian Eye 2020.
“When a patient comes in and things haven’t been going well, there’s usually something that hasn’t be appreciated,” he said.
According to Radcliffe, there are four features that could be “disastrous” if missed on the initial exam: angle closure, endothelial disease, brimonidine allergy and exfoliation.
