Norlase receives FDA clearance for Lion laser system

The FDA has granted 510(k) clearance to Norlase’s Lion, a green laser photocoagulator integrated into an indirect ophthalmoscope, according to a press release.
The device, now available in the United States, does not require a fiber optic connection. It is powered by a rechargeable battery and has an advanced wireless interface, with optional voice control of parameters.
