AAO to require proof of COVID-19 vaccination for all meeting attendees

The American Academy of Ophthalmology will require all in-person attendees to be vaccinated against COVID-19 for its annual meeting in New Orleans in November, according to AAO guidance.
Attendees will be required to provide proof of vaccination, with a vaccine approved by the FDA or WHO, before arriving to the meeting site. Accepted vaccines include Pfizer-BioNTech, Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen, Moderna, AstraZeneca-Oxford and Sinopharm.
