VIDEO: C3, C5, C1q inhibition shows potential in geographic atrophy

In a video interview with Healio, Rishi P. Singh, MD, talked about geographic atrophy data presented at the ASRS meeting.
Singh, staff surgeon at Cole Eye Institute, Cleveland Clinic, and associate professor of ophthalmology at Lerner College of Medicine, discussed data on C3, C5 and C1q inhibitors in geographic atrophy (GA).
“We think in particular that inhibiting pathways of both C3, C5 and C1q potentially have mechanisms that decrease the growth of GA over time,” he said.
