Lumibird Medical has announced the launch of the Pocket III, an ergonomically compact handheld pachymeter that weighs 60 g and has a measurement range of 150 m to 1,200 m.
“In addition to the importance of being able to calculate corneal thickness in pre-refractive surgery, pachymetry is essential to calculate and correlate with IOP,” François Checinski, Lumibird’s ultrasound project manager, said in company press release. “As a practitioner, you need to know the exact thickness of the cornea to calculate the ‘true’ value of the IOP that depends on this
