Bascom Palmer Eye Institute has been ranked the nation’s best ophthalmology hospital for the 23rd time by U.S. News & World Report.
The institute is part of the University of Miami Health System and the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, and it includes more than 30 research laboratories, programs and centers focused on vision challenges, according to a press release.
The ranking, based on a survey of U.S. board-certified ophthalmologists, comes as Bascom Palmer works toward its “moon shot” research initiative to restore vision by transplanting a human eye.
