Bausch + Lomb has voluntarily recalled IOLs included on its enVista platform, including enVista Aspire, enVista Envy and certain enVista monofocal lenses.
According to a press release, Bausch + Lomb has received reports of toxic anterior segment syndrome in patients implanted with the IOLs in the U.S. The cause of the complication could not be immediately explained. All cases of the inflammatory reaction have responded to treatment with no IOL removals required.
