
In the U.S. market, we currently have three newer multifocal IOLs approved for use: the Alcon Clareon PanOptix Pro, the Johnson & Johnson Vision Tecnis Odyssey and the Bausch + Lomb enVista Envy.
These IOL designs have similarities: They all split the incoming light to provide a large degree of spectacle independence, and they all provide a wide range of uncorrected vision from near to intermediate to far. All these IOLs can make some of our cataract patients very happy, but they can also disappoint other patients.
