Stable rotational alignment needed for toric IOLs

KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C. — In this exclusive Healio Video Perspective from Kiawah Eye, P. Dee Stephenson, MD, FACS, discusses toric IOL rotation and tips for achieving the correct alignment.
Stephenson offered recommendations on the tools she uses and said the most important factor is to have stable refraction. That way, a surgeon can find where the alignment is off.
“Toric implants help us so much, but if you’re off alignment, you can really negate what you’re there for,” she said.
