Small-aperture IOL improves vision in eyes with previous refractive surgery

LOS ANGELES — In patients who previously underwent refractive surgery or corneal inlay implantation, the small-aperture IC-8 Apthera IOL demonstrated positive vision outcomes, Robert E. Ang, MD, told Healio.
At the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery meeting, Ang said that the IC-8 IOL (Bausch + Lomb) yielded 20/25 uncorrected distance, intermediate and near vision in patients with previous refractive surgery.
“They have very low dysphotopsia or complaints,” he said.
