
LONG BEACH, Calif. — OCT angiography can help identify subtypes of familial exudative vitreoretinopathy, according to a study presented by Audina M. Berrocal, MD, FASRS, at the American Society of Retina Specialists annual meeting.
Berrocal said changes in OCT angiography (OCTA) can be seen when looking at genetics of diseases.
“We know that there are changes in fluorescein angiography,” she told Healio. “But now we’re seeing deeper vascular changes by OCTA.”

Berrocal and colleagues sought to better understand microvascular abnormalities in familial
