Allergen-blocking antibodies lower eye itch in cat, birch allergy

Two different single-dose allergen-blocking antibodies, one for cat allergy and one for birch allergy, significantly reduced allergic ocular symptoms, according to findings from two phase 3 trials.
“These allergen-blocking antibody combinations are a novel approach to treating allergies and have the potential to offer a new way to manage cat and birch allergies in the future with both durable efficacy and a well-tolerated safety profile,” Jennifer Maloney, MD, therapeutic area lead for immunology and inflammation at Regeneron, told Healio.
