Young ophthalmologists should not ignore ergonomics

ORLANDO — Younger ophthalmologists need to hear the message of proper ergonomics as early as possible, according to a speaker at the American Academy of Ophthalmology meeting.
Robert Swan, MD, of SUNY Upstate Medical University, said that people usually begin their residency with good ergonomics and without injury, but without ergonomic training, they could face problems later in their career.
