When I first read about walking meetings, or those that take place while on a walk in lieu of a conference room, office, etc., I knew I would like them.
I lived in Colorado when I decided to apply the concept. I made it a habit to suggest a walking meeting format for appointments with colleagues and supervisors. They were consistently surprised yet quickly agreeable. The break in routine was welcomed. The backdrop of mountains, sunshine and green space with walking trails carved amidst the hospital campus made the application and execution quite easy.
