Study shows real-life benefits of dexamethasone implant

In a large international multicenter real-life study, the dexamethasone intravitreal implant safely treated diabetic macular edema, with peak improvement at 3 months. Further information on treatment effects in early vs. late DME, naive vs. previously treated eyes and patients with controlled vs. non-controlled diabetes was also provided.
