NEW YORK — Treatment with Zimura helped reduced geographic atrophy lesion growth across all distances from the foveal center, according to research presented at the American Society of Retina Specialists annual meeting.
David R. Lally, MD, said previous data showed Zimura (avacincaptad pegol, Iveric Bio) helped reduce lesion growth compared with sham.
“We also know that growth rates can vary depending on lesion location,” he said. “With this in mind, we asked the following question: Does avacincaptad pegol treatment effect have any relationship to lesion locality?”
