The first commercial cases using the Ally adaptive cataract treatment system have been performed, according to a press release from Lensar.
Robert Weinstock, MD, a member of the Lensar medical advisory board, performed the procedures at The Eye Institute of West Florida.
The FDA cleared the Ally system for femtosecond laser-assisted cataract surgery in June. Up to 12 systems are expected to be installed this year as part of a controlled commercial launch.
