
SEATTLE — In this Healio Video Perspective from the ASRS annual meeting, David Lally, MD, discusses efficacy results for APX3330, an oral Ref-1 inhibitor being evaluated for the treatment of diabetic retinopathy.
According to Lally, APX3330 did not meet the primary endpoint measure in the phase 2 ZETA-1 trial of a two-step or greater improvement on the Diabetic Retinopathy Severity Scale; however, it has shown an early efficacy signal in stabilizing diabetic retinal disease as opposed to improving it. Lally outlines upcoming plans for APX3330 given these findings.
