Dry eye: If we cause it, we need to treat it

As a glaucoma specialist, the treatments I prescribe multiple times daily cause problems for the corneal surface. So, if you are treating glaucoma, you need to be willing to treat the dry eye that results.
If you ignore the irritation and dry eye complaints, it has been my experience that patients become noncompliant with their glaucoma drops as they become more irritating and uncomfortable.
