
This year, physicians across the U.S. grappled with levels of stress and anxiety comparable to those experienced during the pandemic, according to a report from The Physician’s Foundation.
Of the physicians who responded to the 2025 survey, 57% reported feeling “inappropriate feelings of anger, tearfulness or anxiety” within the past year, 46% said they withdrew from the people in their lives, 34% had felt hopeless or purposeless, and 55% faced debilitating levels of stress.
