
Even before she became a physician, Cathleen M. McCabe, MD, knew she wanted to help people across the world.
Growing up in New Hampshire, McCabe did not travel much, but her parents hosted people from more than 40 countries through a local program, including students who would live with them for a year.
“I had this idea, even as a kid, that I wanted to be able to do something impactful and make a difference,” she said. “I wanted to do that all over the world in places that didn’t have access to the kinds of things we had in the U.S.”
