Man presents with chronic dull pain in left eye

A 63-year-old Vietnamese-speaking man with a history of scleritis in the left eye, epiretinal membrane, dry eye syndrome and age-related cataracts presented to the retina clinic for a follow-up on a chronic blind, painful left eye.
The patient had a long-standing blind, painful left eye since 2020, but the cause was unknown. His medical history included tuberculosis (status post treatment), gout, anxiety, hypertension and hyperlipidemia. He had no significant family history.
