Expert shares best practices to track keratoconus progression

WAIKOLOA, Hawaii — In this Healio Video Perspective from Hawaiian Eye 2026, William B. Trattler, MD, of the Center for Excellence in Eye Care, discusses best practices to track keratoconus progression.
“It’s very important because when we diagnose keratoconus, it is helpful to know if [patients] are stable or progressive,” Trattler told Healio. “What I love about topography is using a difference map. That’s where we take the original scan, the first time we saw the patient, and compare it to the most recent scan and look at the differences.”
