The FDA approved updated software for the Spectralis retinal imaging platform, according to a press release from Heidelberg Engineering.
The update enables a 250 kHz scan speed for OCT angiography, “complementing the existing 85 kHz and 125 kHz scan speeds.”
It also adds a green autofluorescence module for enhanced macular imaging.
The update is expected to be commercially available later this year.
