Novel dual-targeting biologic shows potential in treatment-naive wet AMD

Sunir J. Garg, MD, FACS, FASRS, spoke about TH103, a novel biologic targeting both VEGF and heparan sulfate proteoglycans, in treatment-naive patients with wet age-related macular degeneration in this video interview.
Results from the phase 1 single ascending dose study of TH103 (Kalaris Therapeutics) were presented at the American Society of Retina Specialists annual meeting.
“There’s a lot of potential here, but obviously more work needs to be done,” Garg, chief of the retina service of Wills Eye Hospital and professor of ophthalmology at Thomas Jefferson University, told Healio.
