Bionic eye system gains financial support in France
The French Ministry of Health has approved financial support for a bionic eye treatment, according to a Second Sight Medical Products press release.The approval of the Argus II Retinal Prosthesis System (Second Sight) comes after the March 18, 2014, decision to add the Argus II system to the Forfait Innovation program, which introduces therapies to benefit patients with retinitis pigmentosa in France, according to the release.
