Robert Ritch to receive ARVO award for ophthalmology research and service

Robert Ritch, MD, will receive the 2017 Joanne G. Angle Service Award from the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology, according to a press release.Ritch is the Shelley and Steven Einhorn Distinguished Chair in Ophthalmology, New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai. He has spent his career researching the underlying etiologies and mechanisms of glaucoma and founded the Glaucoma Foundation to spread international awareness of the disease.
