Newest revisions to Senate health care bill allow cheaper policies, don’t address Medicaid cuts

Senate Republicans released the updated version of their health care bill, the Better Care Reconciliation Act, to the public today. As an attempt to gain the majority needed to repeal and replace the ACA, the revision contains several changes, including cheaper, but stripped-down plans and new opioid treatment funding.This action follows the release of the Better Care Reconciliation Act on June 22, which included many of the reforms contained within the House version passed on May 4, but also presented crucial changes, including a slower phase out of Medicaid expansion (Read more...)
